April 2026

Hi Tracey,

It’s been another dynamic month across Michigan’s clean mobility landscape. As with any major technology transition, progress is rarely linear. There are ebbs and flows in adoption, and moments where things appear to slow. But those moments are not setbacks. They are opportunities to realign, improve efficiencies, and take a thoughtful pulse on how the transition is unfolding.

In clean mobility, these periods also give us space to catch up. Whether it is policy development, infrastructure deployment, or market readiness, a brief slowdown can help ensure the foundation is strong enough to support long-term growth. Progress is not just about speed. It is about sustainability and staying power.

Like me, you may have noticed an influx of out-of-office replies over the past couple of weeks. This is a helpful reminder that, like our industry, people also need time to pause, recharge, and refocus on the goals ahead.

As we move into spring, we look forward to reconnecting and building momentum together. We have several exciting opportunities ahead, including our Clean Mobility 411 webinar with Paired Power in May, our Hydrogen Action Forum at Noble Gas Systems in June, and the Multi-Modal eMobility Summit at the Grosse Ile Municipal Airport in July. I hope you will join us as we continue to advance practical long-term solutions, meaningful partnerships, and informed conversations across Michigan.

Sincerely,

THIS MONTH'S MOVEMENT

Powering Conversations That Move Michigan Forward

The University of Michigan's 2026 Electric Vehicle Symposium, held March 24–25, brought together more than 300 attendees to explore the future of clean mobility.  Chase joined Susan Corbin of the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity and Bernard Swiecki of the Detroit Regional Partnership for a panel moderated by Ashlee Breitner of the Electric Vehicle Center.  The discussion highlighted the critical role of reliable data in understanding clean mobility career pathways and ensuring Michigan’s workforce is prepared for emerging opportunities.

On March 31, Chase joined another panel at an electric transportation workshop hosted by Forth Mobility in East Lansing. The event explored how state and local transportation agencies can partner with stakeholders to design and deliver comprehensive, inclusive electric transportation solutions.  Chase highlighted current and upcoming funding opportunities that will help expand EV infrastructure across Michigan.
